All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you... Matthew 28:18-20

Testimonies from Mission Trips

On Monday we visited a young mother of 4 children named Marta," shares Deloris Hanneman. "She was receptive to our visit and as I shared my testimony, tears began to flow down her face. I mentioned that I had lost three babies and how God helped me through those difficult times. It was then that I learned that Marta had recently lost a baby. Unlike me, she had tried to have an abortion, but it was unsuccessful. The baby was born only later to die, and Marta was feeling a lot of guilt. We shared the Gospel with her and how she could one day see her child in heaven. After praying to receive Christ, as we left her, Marta hugged us and thanked us for coming.

On Thursday we returned to Marta's neighborhood to visit a neighbor of hers," continues Deloris. "Marta saw us and came over to join us. She was all smiles-the joy and peace of the Lord was all over her face. She even helped us share the Gospel with her neighbor, who also accepted Christ. What a joy to see a life changed because of Jesus!

A man at the church asked me to pray for him and his wife-who was not saved." Harvey Imhoff relays, "The man shared that they had been fighting for two years, and if something did not happen soon they would divorce. They have three children. I prayed over him right away and told him to talk to his pastor about our team visiting his house. Two days later that house was on our list. They invited 15 other people and prepared food and drinks for all of us. That day his wife and fourteen other people were saved. His wife was so happy. Now they can know the love of Jesus in their marriage.

Gene Barnes tells us an experience he had on the fields of Burundi, during an International Commission project in January, 2007. "You can't imagine where they took me today. We sang the song, 'Where ever He leads Me I Will Go.' Well I went today, crossing from the top of a mountain, across fast moving streams, stepping up several feet for the first foothold that you could get across. I made it with all of the others of my team, but of course they are used to it. Then up the other side we went, a very steep, rocky, and narrow place to be. Homes were few, still, this being the hardest day for me by far, we had more decisions than any other day to date." Posted March 17, 2007
